Make the most of your week- ten free activities to do during the March holidays!

Note: While the events and activities listed below are free, other rates may apply.

1.Water dippers at Jurong Bird Park

Laugh away your troubles with the Water Dippers! Dressed in wet suits, snorkel masks and flippers, the Water Dippers will entertain with physical comedy and hilarious slapstick antics. Equipped with water guns and water buckets,  kids will have fun!

Dates: 11th – 18th March 2012
Price: Free activity (Usual park admission rates apply)

2. Once Upon a time at Changi Airport

Join enchanting workshops to design Magical Sand Art, make Fairy Tale Puppets or dreamy pillows. Kids will be enthralled by fairy tale characters such as Snow White, The Evil Queen and the Magic Mirror. Plus, they will sing, dance and perform their classic stories just for your kids.

Dates: 10 March 2012 (Sat) to 18 March 2012 (Sun)

Venue: Changi Airport Terminal 3, Basement 2 (Opposite Kopi Food Court)

Admission: Free  (But some activities require minimum spending in Changi.)

3. I-Light at Marina Bay

Singapore’s first sustainable light festival offers more in addition to the arresting interactive light art installations,  I- Light Marina Bay 2012 promises a full array of  programmes and activities – including night carnivals, outdoor performances, guided tours, educational talks and workshops.

Dates: 9th March- 1st April 2012

4. Imagine dragons at the Singapore Philatelic Museum

Perfect for fantasy fans aged 5-12.  The exhibition brings children on a quest to explore the magical world of dragons. Includes Singapore’s 2012 Dragon Zodiac Collector’s Sheet and 3-D stamps from South Africa and Australia.

5. Total Fit at United Square

Take part in TotalFit – a free aerobic workout led by instructors that will get the heart racing and improve your family’s total wellbeing.

Time: 6.30pm – 7.30pm

6. Mall walk at Tiong Bahru

Walk the Mall to better health! Starting from 8.30am, walk your way to a more healthy lifestyle! Mark the following dates in your calendar, and be sure to sign up early to beat the crowd.

7. Sentosa kids flea market

‘Playtrepreneurs’ and ‘Playtrons’ are selling at Sentosa’s first ever KidZ Flea Market! Meet other aspiring young entrepreneurs and patrons who will trade and swap toys, games, books and accessories at the Sentosa KidZ Flea Market.

Date: 10th-18th March 2012

8. CARNIVALE at F1 Pit Building

What The FLEA! will make a scheduled stop at the F1 Pit Building! 100 stalls of clothes, books, shoes, stationery, handmade cuties plus Frolick will supply delicious frozen yoghurt.

Date: March 17th, 2012
Time: 1pm – 9pm

9. Naked Hermit Crabs

Head out to the mangroves at Pasir Ris Park! Explore through the boardwalks  and it’s also open at night! Glimpse the Naked Hermit Crabs during your evening stroll through the mangrove. See lots of tree climbing crabs, large mudskippers and monitor lizards. Pasir Ris is also one of the few places where nesting herons are observed. As the evening sun sets over the horizon, spot nocturnal animals like watersnakes, the rare Mangrove pitta or a family of otters.

10. Stargazing at the Omni

Come on down with friends and family to the Observatory for a night of stargazing! Discover the planets that cross our sky and spot the many stars and other heavenly bodies in our universe!

When: Fridays (weather permitting)

Venue: The Observatory, Omni-Theatre building

Time: 7.50pm – 10pm

Bonus event: Free entry for children into the  National Orchid Garden open house this saturday with guided tours at 9am, 10am and 4pm.
