Kids love brunch!

Weekends were made for sleeping in, and nothing is better than a late morning brunch with the kiddos. A good brunch makes the weekend last longer, so get the inside scoop on where to go when the bellies are rumbling.

There are two things to look out for when you are choosing a place to have brunch with the family — good food and something for kids to do. Here are a few of our favourite Sunday brunch places that hit the sweet spot!

One-Ninety Restaurant

This fine dining restaurant located at the lobby level of a luxury hotel doesn’t scream “kid-friendly” but don’t let the luxurious exterior fool you. Aside from offering delicious egg benedict and bread and butter pudding, the little kiddies get their very own yummy menu which features favourites such as French toast with stewed berries, Mandarin orange muffins with honey cream and banana split.

When the kids are happily stuffed, they can burn off their energy at a supervised playroom to engage in activities such as face painting, or explore the bouncy castle whilst you kick back and sip on your free-flowing bubbly.

Paulaner Brauhaus

Sweeten your weekend with crispy pork knuckles, sauerkraut, beer and more. For the little ones, they will love the activities lined up for them.

From balloon sculpting to mask painting, getting temporary airbrush tattoos to making cotton candy floss– the kids will be begging to come here every weekend!

Having won an award for best brunch category in 2011, you know this place is worth the trip! On weekends, tables are laid out on the river walk so you can catch some rays whilst you enjoy the best of Aussie cuisine.

The kids also have their own set menu, aptly named “Little Tackers Breakfast” where they can dig in on buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and milkshakes.

Jungle breakfast with wildlife

For a fresh take on brunch, zip over to the only place in the world where you can have breakfast with the orang utans! Enjoy the lovely buffet spread of western-style and local morning delights whilst your kids make new friends with the apes and other charming animals.

Don’t forget to pack the camera so your kids can share their amazing weekend with friends and tell them that they have cool parents!

Riders café

Here’s another sweet spot to have brunch with animals. Head down to Bukit Timah Saddle Club and have a laid back family brunch in a tranquil setting.

Your kids will squeal in delight at the occasional sight of magnificent horses trotting by whilst they munch on traditional brunch yummies such as eggs florentine and berry pancakes.

Note that the area is completely outdoors (no aircon) so wear something light and enjoy the casual atmosphere.
