Labour Day activities


Figuring out what to do on Labour Day should not be hard work. We have made it easy with our list of recommendations!

Hooray! It’s a public holiday! But when a day-off falls during mid-week, deciding what to do and where to go can get tricky. We have removed the guesswork for you so that you can maximise the extra 24 hours with your family:

1. Expo time

Combine bargain-hunting with a day out at a places like Suntec City, which also features a shopping mall where you can keep your children occupied.

2. Parklife

Singapore is full of public parks which offer all sorts of activities. Have a picnic at Marina Barrage, watch Shakespeare In the Park , or embark on fitness routes and nature trails at The Southern Ridges

3. Movie buffs

Cineplexes offers a variety of films and the blockbuster summer movies have just been released. Try catching the latest movies at Cathay Cineplex or Golden Village!

4. Buffet treats

Feeling hungry? Try a 24 hour buffet at the River Garden Coffee House, the Cafe Mosaic weekday buffet, or if you’re feeling adventurous, savour Crab Night at The Greenhouse.

5. Foodie trail

What if you are not famished but simply fed up of the usual fare at food courts and hawker stalls? Try out some eateries such as the Malaysian Food Street or Food For Thought which include variety and value for money at the same time.

6. Museum fun

Expand the minds of your children and make some fascinating discoveries at places such as the  the Asian Civilisations Museum. For the young at heart, the MINT Museum of Toys is highly recommended.

7. Indoor play

Escape from the heat of the day at indoor play zones such as Amazonia and Happy Willow. Older children can try their hand at rockclimbing at Kinetics Climbing
