If you are planning a trip to Hong Kong, visiting Disneyland is a must! Although the park is not as big as the one Orlando or Anaheim, it is still worth the trip (especially with the young children). There are various attractions that will keep you and your family busy. Disneyland Hong Kong consists of 6 lands:
Main Street, U.S.A.
Toy Story Land
Grizzly Gulch Land
Even the little ones are able to enjoy themselves and go on rides like It’s A Small World, Cinderella’s Carousel, Dumbo, the Teacups and many more. There are also three parades and plenty of Disney characters roaming the park – so there will be plenty of Kodak moments.
If you go on school holidays or on a weekend, get ready for extremely long lines everywhere. We even had to stand in line to buy tickets (30mins) then to get inside (20 mins), get a drink from the water fountain (10 mins) and even to find a table at the food court!
Although Disneyland is meant to be “one of the happiest places” it is also one of the most expensive places. Parking is HK$120, Adult admission is HK$399, kids over the age of 3 are HK$285. Even a bottle of water is HK$20. Plan on spending at least SG$350-$500 for a family of 4.
But at the end of the day it was worth it. The boys had a great time and we will definitely be going back to Disneyland again the next time we are in Hong Kong!
Extra “Super” Tip: Here are few things to pack for a summer trip to HK Disney: (1) Water Bottles, (2) An umbrella: Everyone was carrying an umbrella. At first I thought it was funny, then I was glad to have my detachable stroller umbrella – with the sun glaring down we definitely needed it. Not to mention it started raining at 5pm! (3) Hats, (4) Extra clothes for the kids, (5) Snacks & (6) Comfortable shoes
