VOICES – A Festival of Song (13-15 December 2013)

From 13 to 15 December 2013, Esplanade will be launching the first-ever edition of VOICES – A Festival of Song. Look forward to 3 days of group singing performances, ranging from choral to folk and a cappella, and take the opportunity to introduce your children to various music genres!

Be sure to check out the programmes and workshops by local and international vocal groups, and be enthralled by performances such as the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Khöömi – Throat Singers of Mongolia and Singapore’s very own jazz and pop a cappella group, Key Elements. There will also be free talks at the Concert Hall main foyer and performances happening at the concourse and outdoor theatre during the festival.

Join in the cheer and spread the joy of the festive season with fun activities for the whole family at Esplanade! Drop by the craft corner to learn how to make your very own greeting card and send happy holiday wishes to your loved ones.

Check out the free performances by various artists such as “The Singing Chef and Friends” at the concourse and Summertimes Big Band at the outdoor theatre, and head down to the bell charms display at the waterfront area to make your wishes for the New Year.

Marina Bay Singapore Countdown

Christmas activities for kids in Singapore

The hugely popular Marina Bay Singapore Countdown is back for yet another amazing countdown celebration at Esplanade.

Sit back and enjoy the free performances by Cat Ong, Sheila De Niro and Singapore Char Siew Baos, and make sure to pen your New Year wishes on the wishing spheres at various stations around the island. There will be 20,000 wishing spheres altogether, which will be set afloat in the Bay as part of a spectacular visual arts display.

The countdown celebration will end with a smashing fireworks display at the stroke of midnight – so, remember to get your cameras ready!
