East Coast Park Service Road, Singapore - 449889
Take a ride on a go-kart on the roads or pretend play as a pedestrian at the Road Safety Community Park at East Coast Park! Mainly hosting traffic games for local public schools and institutions in Singapore, the park offers kids a valuable opportunity to learn about proper road safety at a young age.
Catering to kids of all ages, the Road Safety Park boasts a mini traffic environment for them to practice and make their road safety skills perfect! Kids will have an exciting time as they role-play as a go-cart driver, pedestrian or cyclist and stop at real pedestrian crossings and traffic lights!
Kids will be taught more about the precautions they should take when on the roads as well as the importance of following traffic rules in Singapore. Learning to raise their hands while crossing the zebra crossing, reading road signs, using the mini overhead bridge or coming to a stop when the traffic lights turn from orange to red are just a few of the road safety measures kids can practice at the park!
Several other installations at the park include the mini SHELL service station, SBS transit station and VICOM inspection centre! Kids will be excited to know that even the roads, pavements, lamp posts and traffic lights are all designed in a miniature scale specially for them!
The Road Safety Park also plays host to the Shell Traffic Games where kids and youths are educated about good road safety practices as a driver or pedestrian.
Even though the park is opened to public for 24h, some of the installations like the traffic lights, rental for go-carts and bicycles will not be in operation unless the park is hosting a traffic game for a school at the same time. However, mummies and daddies can still take advantage of the traffic facilities available, bring along their own bicycles and teach their kids a little about road traffic safety at the Road Safety Park!Nearest MRT station
